Yellowstone fans are in for a treat when spin-off series Marshals returns for its second season, as it has now been confirmed that another fan favourite character from the original show is set to return.
Jefferson White will be reprising his role as Jimmy, the cowboy who was sent to learn how to wrangle and train horses on the 6666 Ranch in Texas.
Now, it has been announced that Jimmy will return in Marshals, joining fellow Yellowstone characters who are already part of the spin-off, Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, Gil Birmingham as Thomas Rainwater, Mo Brings Plenty as Mo and Brecken Merrill as Tate Dutton.
When his return was first announced, White said in a statement: "I’m thrilled to dive into the world of Marshals and continue exploring the American West. The cast and crew are stacked full of my favourite actors and filmmakers, and I’m honoured to join them. Jimmy and I have been through a lot together, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for us."
White also responded to a post announcing his return on Instagram, saying in a comment: "See you real soon. Very grateful to be back in the saddle."

There had been some thought that Jimmy would be fronting his own series given that, in 2022, Paramount announced at its Upfront presentation that it was developing a spinoff titled 6666, which would be set at the ranch.
However, speaking on the Rodeo Time podcast, Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, who purchased the 6666 ranch along with a group of investors in 2020, confirmed that there's "never going to be" a 6666 spin-off.
"I would never fictionalise that ranch," he said. "People thought that that was going to be a thing, but I would never do that."

He explained: "So now I’m trivialising and fictionalising something where real people work, and they raise their families there, and I could never do that to them. I could never do that to the cowboys that dedicated themselves, and everybody that works on that ranch.
"I’m very protective of the Sixes, and it’s a big responsibility to be the person who has to protect that ranch, so I have to be very, very careful with it."
