has shared her new single ‘If We Don’t Know Each Other’.

Out now, the new single is the latest statement from the Camden-born riser, whose recent EPs – ‘Wish You Were Here’ and ‘Dancing in My Room’ – have sparked huge online hype.

A natural over-sharer, YAZ takes a personal approach to her lyrics, and this has built an intimate form of conversation with her fans.

A bold, vivacious pop vocal, there’s also a sting in the tale with YAZ learning to put her emotions first.

She comments…

When I wrote this song, I was feeling really deflated. I was in a “talking stage” with someone who was pulling and pushing, and I was questioning why it couldn’t all be more straightforward.

I came to the studio with just the first verse written, and my producer Joseph Tilley and Ryann Barnes (an incredible artist and writer from LA) brought so much energy and lightness to what could have been a totally different song. The chorus is one of my favourites I’ve ever made; I can hear people singing it with friends, and I’ve screamed to it many times in my car. Once we recorded the hook, the rest of the song came together quickly. I felt like they brought something out of me that I didn’t see at the time, and I always feel inspired listening to this song. It feels hopeful and dramatic, and it’s very special to me.
