will release their debut album ‘In Purgatory’ on October 16th.

Some things just click – World News have built their fanbase the hard way, playing show after show. With some inspired songs in their locker, the hype has begun to build, with the band now ready to unveil their debut album.

‘In Purgatory’ lands this Autumn, but the songs have their roos in the pandemic, and the long, slow days of 2020.

In a note, vocalist  explains:

“The way it goes was mostly written and demo’d back in 2020. The lyrics don’t possess too much of a story, but are more phrases, thoughts and collections of words of how I was feeling at the time.”

“The album has a few songs on it similar to this that were written a few years ago, whilst some of the other tracks were written more recently, and in some cases weeks/days before hitting the studio (like Sidestep). We’re all very excited to share the album with everyone.”

World News will toast the album with a headline UK tour this Autumn, including a show at London’s historic Scala venue on November 3rd.
