The next Fortnite season is finally here, and you've got mere hours to get excited for Chapter 7 Season 4 – Override.
This season is going to be huge, with some incredible gaming crossovers set to join the action.

When does the next Fortnite season start? Chapter 7 Season 4 release date and start time
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 begins on Thursday, 20 August 2026.
Season 4 ends on 19 August, and the game will go down for maintenance on the morning of 20 August.
Depending on how big the new update is, this could take anywhere from a few hours to all day, but we expect that the new season will begin around 9-11am BST.
For those of you around the world, that means 1-3am PT, 4-6am ET, and 10am-12pm CEST.

What do we know about Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4?
The name of the season is 'Override,' as teased by Epic Games earlier this month.
According to various leaks and rumours, the season will be a celebration of gaming, bringing iconic characters from some of the biggest franchises around to Fortnite for the first time.
The only one of these we have confirmation of so far is Sonic, who was teased with a short clip of Peely running through Green Hill Zone from the Sonic games.
A report from prominent Fortnite leaker HYPEX alleged that collaborations with Kingdom Hearts, Vampire Survivors, KakaoGames, Kernel Hearts and Ember & Blade are all also confirmed.
Furthermore, there are leaked collaborations with Persona 5, Mega Man, Crash Bandicoot and Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, although these are not 100% confirmed, according to HYPEX.
Of course, this would be far from the first time that Fortnite has added video game characters to the game, with Street Fighter, God of War, Halo, Tomb Raider and many more already getting their own crossover skins.
