York City welcome Bristol Rovers to the LNER Community Stadium for their first EFL game in more than a decade on Saturday.
It's been a tumultuous summer for the National League champions after title-winning manager Stuart Maynard was controversially replaced by Scott Lindsey in the middle of pre-season.
The ex-Crawley boss suffered the worst possible start as his new team were beaten 2-0 by his former club in the Carabao Cup preliminary round at the start of the month.
Bristol Rovers were also beaten in their sole competitive outing of the new campaign after losing 1-0 to Peterborough United in the first round of the cup last Saturday.
Steve Evans led the Gas to safety after taking charge at the Memorial Stadium midway through last season and he has designs on masterminding a third promotion from this level.
