Oxford United and MK Dons get their 2026/27 League One campaigns underway on Saturday afternoon.
Oxford, who are now managed by former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey, are back in League One after suffering relegation from the Championship last season.
They spent two campaigns in the Championship but they'll be returning to familiar surroundings in League One given they've played in the third tier for eight of the last 10 seasons.
Given Oxford were relegated last season, they should be one of the strongest teams in the division, however, the odds suggest that The U's are more likely to be fighting to avoid relegation rather than challenging for the title.
While Oxford came down to League One, MK Dons came up from League Two last season after securing automatic promotion by finishing second behind Bromley.
Heading into the 2026/27 campaign, MK Dons are currently the fifth favourite to win the League One title and they're expected to be battling for a play-off spot this season.
