Rochdale start their League Two journey at Newport County on Saturday afternoon.
Weeks after missing out on automatic promotion from the National League in the most dramatic fashion in the final minutes of the campaign, the Dale ended their three-year exile from the EFL by beating Boreham Wood in the play-off final on penalties.
There's been a change in the dugout since their Wembley success, however, as Jimmy McNulty departed for Stockport County and former South Shields boss Ian Watson has taken over.
Newport also head into the campaign with a new manager following Christian Fuchs's surprise departure at the end of June.
The former Leicester defender dramatically steered the Exiles to safety on the final day of the season and fresh face Hayden Mullins, who previously coached Fulham's Under-21s, faces a challenge to keep the club in the EFL.
