Manchester City's Carabao Cup defence will come under fire when Brighton visit the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The Seagulls have claimed a number of high-profile already scalps this term – thumping Arsenal 5-0 in the Premier League and coming from behind to beat Man Utd in the last round of this competition.
Man City won the Carabao Cup for the ninth time last year, their sixth triumph in a decade, but with recent off-field events and in Enzo Maresca's first season at the helm, a Wembley appearance would carry extra weight.
The holders pumped Championship outfit Norwich City 5-0 in the third round but have only progressed past this point in the competition twice in the last five years.
