Rangers boss Derek McInnes returns to Tynecastle for the first time since his summer departure from Hearts on Wednesday evening.
The former Jam Tarts boss ran Celtic close in last season’s Scottish Premiership title race and he’s hoping his new team can claim maximum points to stay within touching distance of the Hoops.
Rangers head into the clash in winning form and sit four points behind Celtic after beating St Johnstone 4-0 at Ibrox last Saturday.
Hearts are also desperate for the victory to keep within reach of the title skirmish as they are a further four points behind after a mixed start to the season under new boss Wouter Vrancken.
The Jam Tarts were also in winning form at the weekend as goals from Claudio Braga and Calvin Miller either side of the break secured a 2-0 success at Motherwell.
