Alonso is likely to make wholesale changes to his starting XI due to the quick turnaround, which means Enzo Fernandez, Pep Chavarria and Estevao could all start after featuring off the bench at Craven Cottage.
Luton were handed the meeting with Chelsea after hammering Gillingham 3-0 in the first round earlier this month.
Jack Wilshere's Hatters have enjoyed an unbeaten start to the campaign, although they were held to a 2-2 home draw by Notts County in the league last Saturday.
