Cardiff City and Wrexham kick off their Championship campaigns in an all-Welsh affair on Monday night.
Brian Barry-Murphy's side, who edged past Swindon Town in their Carabao Cup first round clash last time out, are back in the second flight after securing automatic promotion from League One last season.
Cardiff, who were playing in the Premier League just seven years ago, are among the favourites to be relegated this campaign so simply avoiding the drop will be the main aim.
Wrexham, meanwhile, will have their sights set on securing a play-off spot - which has been expanded from four to six teams this time out - after finishing seventh and just two points outside the top six last season.
Phil Parkinson's side, who have progressed from the National League to the Championship since 2023, are hoping to continue their Hollywood story under Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as Wrexham look to reach the Premier League for the first time in the club's history.
