On the back of their success, they are releasing their debut English single ‘, and are set to star in a Netflix documentary showing their journey to their first-ever UK show at OVO Wembley Arena on October 16th.

During their visit to London, caught up with all six members to discuss this special moment, their expectations for the show, and what’s coming next.

Welcome to London, and congratulations on your Netflix documentary! You’ve had such an incredible year, and I imagine it must be a little crazy considering you only debuted as a group last year. How does this moment feel for you?

We’ve done so much in only one year and a half, it has been an amazing experience for us.

Everything happened so quickly, we had to adapt to a new routine and fame, and it has been really exciting.

We’re living our manifest age!

You have been in London for a long time and I’m curious to know your impressions of the city. What are your favourite activities and places here?

All of them: Soho!

We went to some musicals as well, like Moulin Rouge.

: Also Hamilton and we’re seeing The Phantom of the Opera.

We went to Notting Hill too.

: I like the museums, they are so huge, like the British Museum.

I love the architecture of the city.

You’re also about to do your first-ever UK show! What are your expectations for this big day?

We’re so excited! I know a lot of people in the crowd will be Turkish but there will also be British fans and I’m looking forward to seeing their reactions.

Also, we weren’t expecting our first international arena show to be at Wembley Arena. When we heard about it, we couldn’t believe it, it’s a dream come true. So it’s a big thing for us.

Can we expect any surprises during the show?

Yes, we have been rehearsing a lot! We have nice surprises.

We have new covers, maybe from UK artists!

You are also about to release your first song in English! How was the process of making it? Was it challenging?

It was a challenge, because we wanted to sound natural. We’re Turkish singers, English isn’t our native language. We put in so much effort so the song could feel natural to our listeners.

We sang in English, but we added some Turkish melodies into the song.

It has a Turkish vibe but it’s in English.

Do you plan to release more songs in English or in another language?

Why not?

manifest is unpredictable in every area. We just go with the flow and always have surprises but we don’t know what comes next. Maybe we will release more songs in English or a mix of English and Turkish.

You bring so much of your identity and so much of Turkish culture into your music. This is amazing and beautiful to see.

We want to reach a global audience, but we want to do that carrying our culture with us.

We’re Turkish and we’re really proud of it.

We want to show the world what Turkish female artists are capable of doing.

And what advice would you give to groups that also dream of going global carrying their identities?

I think the secret is being yourself and trusting each other. Be proud of yourself!

Never forget your roots

And finally, which artist would you most like to collaborate with in the future?

Beyoncé.

Dua Lipa.

I’m a big fan of Harry Styles.

I can’t choose an artist, but we’re open to opportunities.

Manifest will play London’s OVO Wembley Arena on October 16th.
