Vienna's Trauma Glow are back with new EP slated for January 2027

The band said “Julian” is about negotiating your own flaws and growing together in ways that are not always for the better. Sakura (aka Sakura Katsuura Chow), the Vienna-based ambient artist, sings on the track alongside the band's Arthur Gutmann. She also recorded the EP at Studio Skodagasse in Vienna and co-produced it with Alexander Egginton and Zac Montez. The video, also out now, features Sakura and offers a glimpse into the DIY scene in Vienna via its claustrophobic house shows and taking over of non-commercial spaces.

The band said the track reached the point they often aim for when writing: “an initial uncertainty about the oddness of a soundscape, to falling in love with it right after.” It follows a string of standalone singles as well as the 2024 EPs and about to find solace in your arms.

will be available on 12-inch vinyl, limited to 100 copies, with their previous EP on side B. The four-piece – Alexander Egginton, Arthur Gutmann, Julian Lang, and Francisco Valença Vaz – draw on shoegaze, emo, and grunge, with recent material adding electronic textures beneath the guitars. Since forming in 2023, they have toured throughout Europe and shared stages with They Are Gutting a Body of Water, Deadharrie, and Hotline TNT.
