London-based French artist has today announced her new album ‘About Time’, out October 30th via Scenic Route.

Bedoret began her classical training aged 6, and on completion at 18 she embraced the thrill of playing guitar and bass in punk bands, and like many at the turn of adulthood, was quickly taken by the dancefloor.

‘About Time’ is an 11-track collection that moves between striking vocal-led tracks, glitching beats, haunting compositional soundscapes and moments of release and rapture. The album reflects a seismic series of changes in Bedoret’s life and feels like a work that captures phases of transition and the nuances within big moments. 

Bedoret shares prelude single ‘See Saw’, an electro-acoustic lullaby driven by a diaphanous falsetto and the evocative thrum of guitar and strings.

Of the track, Bedoret says:

“See, Saw is about how differently we perceive the passing of time. Enjoyable moments seem to disappear very quickly, while difficult, boring or uneventful moments can feel extremely long. Yet those slower moments also have value and there is something to learn from them.

The title plays with the idea of a seesaw: our perception constantly moving between different experiences of time. It’s funny because I realised that after choosing the title and writing the lyrics.”
