Tennis prize money has been a big talking point this year, and that trend has not let up with the arrival of the US Open.
It has been confirmed that the 146th edition of the grand slam will offer up the largest prize purse in history – a whopping $108 million or £79.2 million.
That's a 20 per cent jump up from the 2025 event, and follows protests from players at this year's other majors.
It means that this year's winners in the Men's and Women's singles will rake in more than £2 million in prize money, while a 1st round appearance is worth £139k.
