The band – Oli Noble, Eric Rye Lees, and Isaac West – have already won word of mouth hype with their wicked live shows, a blend of left-field indie and more classic-centred songwriting.

The Hampshire trio decamped to rural France in order to record their debut single, and it finds Uncle Junior – named after the Sopranos character perhaps? – aiming for immediacy.

Echoes of PIXIES or even Teenage Fanclub linger in the song’s DNA, with ‘Melt Me’ displaying a twisting, turning path.

A song that aims to reflect the very surreal world of dating apps, and their attendance self doubt, ‘Melt Me’ is musically joyous, while having something quite fraught and complex underneath.

Speaking on the single, the band says, “‘Melt Me’ utilises a more traditional four chord verse chorus verse structure with melodies and harmonies that at the time were out of our songwriting comfort zones. The lyrics are a look into the way that one holds memories of lost time and how this affects your self-image.”
