The quest for the rainbow jerseys begins in Canada this weekend at the UCI Road World Championships 2026.
National pride is on the line at the annual event, which sees riders represent their country rather than a trade team.
Champions will be crowned in 13 events, including most notably the elite men's and women's road races and time trials.
