"Don't you have any wine in this joint?" Even if Eva Longoria's foodie tour of France sometimes feels stylish at the expense of content, she doesn't hold back and her relish carries the day. The actor begins in Paris, where she tries an Asian version of the classic croque madame, enjoys a sit-down with the don of French cuisine Alain Ducasse, and discovers the secret of truly decadent cookery: basically, nothing isn't improved by a few (dozen) cubes of butter.

The Great Celebrity Pottery Throw Down

The formula may be very familiar at this point but this pottery challenge is still a warmly good-natured indulgence. From Paul Merson's bumbling charm to Lucy Beaumont's eccentricity, the contenders all bring something welcome to the table. This time, it's raku week and the newbie potters attempt animal sculptures – with inevitably mixed results.

9pm, BBC One

More of the hammy (if highly watchable) spin-off from Abi Morgan's ratings hit The Split, centred on a British-Asian law firm in Manchester. Aria (Ritu Arya) deals with a demanding client, while also wondering what secrets her boss and dad Dhruv (Sanjeev Bhaskar) is hiding.

9pm, BBC Two

Reeve explores Mexico's extraordinary Sea of Cortez, nicknamed the "aquarium of the world", where he joins conservationists striving to restore its fragile ecosystem. Diving with endangered sharks delivers some truly heartstopping images: a whirling mass of hammerheads results, as Simon says, in "a moment of almost ethereal beauty".

9pm, ITV1

The addictive Line of Duty-ish six-parter continues, as Emma (Michelle Keegan) and Tom (Douglas Booth) attempt to solve the case of Sophie, the murdered 16-year-old figure skater. Convinced it's an inside job, can they obtain enough evidence to get the case under the nose of the chief superintendent and, even better, find a motive?

9pm, Channel 4

As watchable as it is ridiculous, this challenge show, which attempts to maroon its participants in an end-of-days thriller, continues to generate its own cheesy plotlines. This time, a fragile peace is on the horizon after the incident with the chickens. But a gun has gone missing, which could mean a resumption of hostilities.
