TV tonight: an Emmy-nominated US period drama finally lands on UK TV

From the makers of Homeland, this suave, weighty, Emmy-nominated period drama finally lands on UK telly. Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci and actor Joanna Scanlan also take a seat. As is becoming tradition, there will be tears for one of them.

9pm, Channel 4
Twenty-five years ago, Chris and Gill took on a 19th-century woollen mill near Huddersfield, restoring its historic shell while packing the inside with steel, glass and enough exorbitant hi-tech gadgetry to rival a Bond villain. Now Kevin McCloud returns to say "Hmmm". Does the couple's radical approach still look cutting-edge – or simply very, very 2001?
