Formed by Madison Kate Proffitt and Sean Camargo, Trinket have been circling Brooklyn's live scene following the release of their 2024 EP, New Hobby. They've played shows alongside Heavenly, Golden Apples, and The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, and will be supporting Starcleaner Reunion at their album release show next month.

Today, alongside the announcement of their signing to Take Care, Trinket share "If Not Soon Then Now" — their first new music since .

“This song is very directly about starting a relationship with someone new; it’s exciting, but you quickly realize that insecurities, fears, and things you’ve dealt with in past relationships don’t go away just because you’ve started over,” Trinket explain. “It’s also about having something that you’re excited about and are scared you’re going to ruin it with those insecurities. It’s almost like just the fear of it makes your worries come true.”
