Tindersticks Announce New Album ‘Dog Roses’

will release their new album ‘Dog Roses’ on March 12th.

The incoming project is the band’s fifteenth studio album, and it follows the sense of creative evolution outlined on 2024’s well-received ‘Soft Tissue’.

‘Dog Roses’ will be released on March 12th via City Slang, and it was written and recorded between December ’25 and August ’26.

Produced and recorded by Stuart Staples, the album will be followed by an international tour, including a show at London’s Palladium on May 4th.

Introducing the record, Stuart Staples comments…

With our last album, 2024’s ‘Soft Tissue’, we felt like we were looking over the fence into a new landscape, maybe even leaning over. Making 15 albums we have learned that sometimes there are steps forward, sometimes there are leaps. ‘Soft Tissue’ was a great step, but it was time to try and leap over that fence.

‘Dog Roses’ was borne of a new studio, new ways of working, new desires, even a new confidence. Leaving behind our beloved studio home of the last 20 years – an ambient, almost church place – moving into an underground, hidden space. A jolt. A place where old methods didn’t seem to work and new solutions had to be found. Most things I have learned, that I thought I knew about making albums proved to be of little use when making ‘Dog Roses’.

I have always had a strong sense of time and place in my writing – but sometimes while making this album it felt like trying to catch only a fragrance or the feeling of the knot in my stomach, or catching a glance of myself in a mirror – the 1000 questions, thoughts, emotions you can feel in one moment.

New single ‘Loving, Leaving’ is out now – sombre songwriting with melodic flourishes, it’s a typically masterful piece of music from Tindersticks.
