Three men have been taken to hospital after being stabbed near an in city centre.

were called to Tithebarn Street at around 6.35am yesterday (20 September). The victims were taken to hospital, with remaining in a stable condition, while the third sustained minor injuries.

The attack is believed to have happened outside G-Bar on Eberle Street, although the injured men were found on nearby Tithebarn Street.

Detectives say an altercation took place near the venue before the three men were injured. A suspected weapon has been recovered and will undergo forensic examination.

No arrests had been announced at the time of writing (21 September), with officers continuing to work to identify the person responsible. Police have been examining CCTV and carrying out forensic and witness enquiries as part of the investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Lisa McNaughton said: “We understand the concern that such a serious incident will cause in the community. This is why it is so vital that anyone with information comes forward as a matter of urgency. It appears that some form of altercation broke out near to G-Bar, resulting in the three victims sustaining injuries.

A police cordon was established across Tithebarn Street, Eberle Street and Temple Lane while officers carried out their enquiries.
