Much to the benefit of gamers everywhere, CD Projekt RED just can’t stop tinkering with its games, and we’ve now had an official look at The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past DLC, with a confirmed release date window and an idea of what to expect.
This was revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026, alongside a free remaster that will become available later in September, alongside the two original DLCs for free for those who didn’t already own them.
It’s just as well, as we now have a release date year for The Witcher 4, and it’s still some ways off, so we could definitely do with some more monster-slaying and tavern-perusing in the meantime, doubly so since The Witcher Season 4 has been delayed.
Sadly, there’s still no update on The Witcher remake from Fool’s Theory. Fingers crossed that will emerge soon.

Can I pre-order The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past DLC
No, you cannot currently pre-order The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past DLC.
As such, we don’t know what the price will be, but it is available to wishlist on Steam, the PlayStation Store, the Xbox Store, and the Nintendo eShop.
Once more details come out, we’ll update you as soon as possible with pricing and different editions if they come to pass.

The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past DLC is said to be Geralt’s last adventure before handing the reins to Siri.
It’s set in an entirely new realm, Letten, which developers CD Projekt RED describe as "an idyllic land of rural tradition that hides a dark secret just below the surface", and there are "dozens of new quests, points of interest, and more" for players to delve into.
What’s more, Geralt’s iconic chain weapon from the opening cinematic of the first game can finally be used, and as evidenced by the teaser trailer, Geralt uses it to brutal effect.
