HBO has given fans a first look at The Pitt season 3 in the form of new images and a teaser trailer.
The Emmy-winning drama series, which is created by R. Scott Gemmill and stars Noah Wyle, is returning for its third season in January 2027.
The new first-look trailer shows the cast back in action as a fresh disaster brings the doctors out to front-line duty once again.
Alongside Wyle, who plays Dr Robby, The Pitt's third season will also see Patrick Ball return as Dr Langdon, alongside Katherine LaNasa as Dana Evans, and Fiona Dourif as Dr McKay.
Also returning are Taylor Dearden as Dr King, Isa Briones as Dr Santos, Gerran Howell as Whitaker, Shabana Azeez as Javadi, Ayesha Harris as Dr Ellis, Sepideh Moafi as Dr Al-Hashimi, and Shawn Hatosy as Dr Abbot.

While other plot details are yet to be unveiled, we do know that the new season will be set on 12 November, one day after Veterans Day and in the lead-up to Thanksgiving - a shift from season 2's Fourth of July setting.
"It’s set in early November, just before the holidays, ushering in a whole new set of emergencies and confrontations and complications," Wyle previously said of the new setting to Deadline.

Meanwhile, Dr Al-Hashimi star Moafi recently revealed what fans can expect from her character in the upcoming instalment.
Fans will remember that Dr Al-Hasimi's fate was left up in the air at the end of season 2 after Dr Robby insisted that she declare her seizure disorder.

Speaking about her character's upcoming arc, she told Deadline that things have "definitely shifted".
She said: "As always, she goes about things responsibly. She’s accountable. She’s taken the appropriate measures to continue working in the ED. And she runs a really healthy but tight ship, and things are going really well under her watch."
She added: "The whole environment seems to flow really nicely and more easily. And yeah, that gives her a sense of comfort because it’s not like, 'Look what I did.' It’s more like, 'This is how it should be'."
