The original is the title track of their debut album, a fantastic amalgam of playful word play, infectious beats, and indie rock song structures. As The Itch have toured the material it’s taken on a life of its own, with the sheer on-the-road muscle taking the music in different directions.

Set to play Iceland Airwaves later this year, The Itch have also confirmed a spot at the Public Assembly all-dayer at London venue the Cause on November 28th.

Due to support Canadian group Holy F*ck on their no-doubt-epic UK tour, The Itch have returned to an early song to flex their live muscles.

The ‘Hopeless’ version of ‘It’s The Hope That Kills You’ rebuilds the song from the ground up, and it carries a renewed sense of weight. Begun as voice note recorded by Simon in Brockwell Park, the path from he original, fleshed-out demo to this spotlights the group’s evolution.
