will release new album ‘Love Century’ on November 19th.

The band was sparked into being by Jack Ogbourne, someone CLASH readers may well be familiar with through his prior role in Bingo Fury. Swapping that group’s righteous noise for something more song-aligned, he dipped back into the well-spring of 80s college rock – think early R.E.M., The Replacements, or pre-addiction Lemonheads.

Gathering like mind around him, The Cindys came into being. The group’s line-up also features Naima Bock in collaborative mode, so you’re pretty much assured this is going to be essential listening.

Debut album ‘Love Century’ lands on November 19th on Breakfast Records, and it’s led by golden new single ‘Town Of Origin’.

Probably the best song Evan Dando never quite got around to writing, it’s a dose of slacker-tinged power pop with a dash of Peter Buck’s folk-adjacent guitar lines.

Speaking about the single, frontman Jack Ogborne says

“‘Town Of Origin’ was written in half an hour, music and lyrics. Usually it takes me months to finalize a song but this one was easy and enjoyable to put together. I was listening to The Wedding Present a lot at the time which I think comes across, both in the music and the lyrics.”
