Our buttons have been pushed! have announced their new self-titled album, , set to be released on 12 February 2027.

If that wasn’t enough, the 2000s girl band have dropped their album’s first single, ‘Ghost’, which is out now on streaming platforms, alongside their official album cover art.

The ‘Ghost’ music video, directed by Thomas James, will be released today (24 September) at 5pm BST.

A new sound

The 12-track record sees band members Mutya Buena Keisha Buchanan and Siobhán Donaghy push into new emotional and sonic territory, teaming up with some of the UK’s most exciting songwriters and producers for their new chapter.

Three previously released songs – ‘Jungle’, ‘Weeds’ and ‘Shook’ – will appear on the album, with the former debuting at number 15 on both the UK Singles Sales and UK Singles Downloads charts in March 2025. was previously nominated for an Ivor Novello Award.

Mutya, Keisha and Siobhan said that they “didn’t want to rush this record”, having poured so much into their new songs, the sound “and every detail around it”.

“There was only one thing we could call it: Sugababes. It feels unmistakably us. We’ve loved writing and recording this record, and we’re so excited that it’s finally time for people to hear it.”

The album’s lead single, ‘Ghost’, was written by the Sugababes alongside Jon Shave and Wayne Hector. The song is described as a kiss-off to an ex, dealing with the difficulty of letting someone go while still being haunted by their presence.

The album as a whole moves across several genres, including garage, Amapiano, dance and orchestral pop, while the trio’s harmonies remain central to the record.
