The 10-track collection embraces raw drum programming, analogue textures, and bass-heavy compositions. It moves fluidly between peak-time club energy and experimental rhythm studies, traversing sub-genres like techno, house, acid house, grime, and electro.

Rather than looking back, Julien’s new work reimagines the influence of the 808, extending beyond the studio through the 808 PRINCE Live Hybrid Set, where Julien combines DJ mixing with live performance on the Roland TR-1000.

Blurring the line between a traditional club set and real-time live composition, the performance setup allowed Julien to manipulate drum patterns, layer live percussion, and recontextualise track arrangements on the fly – translating the album’s raw studio philosophy directly into an unpredictable, high-energy dance floor experience.

The album features James Massiah, J. Caesar, Jarren, Touch Sensitive, and , expanding Julien’s sonic universe while remaining anchored in pure groove and movement.

As a primer, Julien shares a ghetto-tech excursion in the form of ’60SS’ – a tantalising after-hours taste of his rhythm-forward new era.
