Netflix has confirmed that Legends, Neil Forsyth's undercover customs thriller starring Steve Coogan, will return for a second season, with production due to begin in 2027.
The renewal was announced by Netflix today as part of a wider slate of returning UK favourites that also included The Gentlemen, House of Guinness and Being Gordon Ramsay.
Anne Mensah, Netflix's vice president of UK content, said audiences "loved these shows", adding that it was "such a delight to bring them back" and "go undercover with the Legends".
Legends dramatises the true story of a largely unknown team of British Customs officers who were given minimal training before being sent undercover into the international drugs world.

Created and written by Neil Forsyth, the showrunner behind The Gold and Guilt, the first season premiered in May 2026 and quickly became one of Netflix's biggest hits of the year.
The series stars Steve Coogan alongside Tom Burke, Hayley Squires, Aml Ameen, Jasmine Blackborow, Douglas Hodge, Tom Hughes and Johnny Harris.
It follows the team as they take on new identities to penetrate major drug-trafficking networks in early-1990s Britain, earning widespread critical praise and clocking up 10 million views in its first 10 days on the streaming platform.
Confirming the return, Forsyth said: "I'm delighted to have the opportunity to tell a new story in the fascinating and unique world that Legends offers, and to show just how dangerous, thrilling, and important their work became in the late 1990s."
According to Netflix, the six-part second season will move the story further into the decade.
The official synopsis reads: "A changing Britain faces a new drugs threat on a scale never seen before. The team of undercover Custom Officers come together once more to take on new challenges, and new enemies, in a thrilling, worldwide operation."
