Boston based has shared his new single ‘Fuzzy Socks ‘Na Na Song)’.
The classic, countryfied offering captures Mugford’s journey up to this point: from a child’s bedtime fears, and forward to life’s final chapter.
Mugford’s strong narratorial voice implants the listener into an immersive story tinged with midlife melancholy but also the pockets of affirmation that exist in life’s smaller, more quieter moments.
Of the track, he shares
“The irony of anxiety is that worrying about everything that might ruin your life gets in the way of living it. I think living is found less in the monumental stuff and more in the little joys and wonders we so often rush past.”
‘Fuzzy Socks ‘Na Na Song)’ follows a series of singles released this year teasing Mugford’s new collection ‘Letters Never Sent’, including ‘Whaaat!’, ‘Diamonds Feel’ and the title track.
It follows Mugford’s 2024 debut album ‘Palooza Beach’. He writes and arranges every track himself, then refines them in the studio with award-winning producer John Escobar and Emmy and Grammy-winning guitarist and arranger Claudio Ragazzi.
