St. Panther – the project of Mexican/Colombian artist Dani Bojorges-Giraldo – will release their debut full-length ‘East Side Love Story’ on November 20th.

Out via drink sum wtr, the collection was conceptualised over six years within the walls of their East Los Angeles apartment.

Friends, lovers, sounds, songs – the essence of the East Side pours through the windows as an endless stream of distinctly Latino taste. St. Panther traverses Chicano soul, Motown classics, G-funk anthems, and feel-good, romantic oldies, capturing a chapter defined by freedom and love.

St. Panther reunites co-producer Chris McClenney (H.E.R., Khalid, Jamila Woods), positioning the record as a culmination: “I’ve been able to apply my influences and build a world around what my signature is, pulling the best of my performances and musicality, figuring out the place that I want it all to sit.”

Coinciding with the album reveal is lead single ‘EAST SIDE GIRL’, which opens on a drum break from C.C. Hamilton, with Bojorges-Giraldo shaping the groove on guitar. The song chronicles the magnetism of a new crush, a person they started to imagine as a powerful caricature.

They add:

“This song is more than just about a crush, I wanted the allure and invitation to our neighborhood to include the most beautiful parts of our culture here, the queer community. This song captures the attitude and charm of the queers in our neighborhood, how a story becomes more vibrant because they’re not just seen and represented, they’re the main event. This is that.”
