Music for Strings and Brass will be Weissberg's first release for a label, with new single "String Quartet No. 2 Mvt. II" offering the first preview of the collection of songs.

"This was the first movement I composed for String Quartet No. 2," Weissberg says. "The quartet was composed with a conventional structure, but this movement was written intuitively, almost like a stream of consciousness. I wrote the melodies while singing on my bike. It feels more lyrical, like a folk song."

Over the last decade, Weissberg has been credited for his work as a jazz and pop instrumentalist and arranger, with early credits including The Cradle's Bag of Holding and Girlpool's , and recent and upcoming work for The Lemon Twigs, More Eaze, June McDoom, Caroline Rose and Allegra Krieger.

Weissberg has also moved deeper into classical composition, pieces for guitar and woodwinds, and film scores for chamber orchestra and everything in between, taking inspiration from late-Romantic and modernist composers.
