has delivered a stunning live performance of ‘Constant Companion’ as part of Apple Music’s intimate series.
‘Constant Companion’ is one of the 12 tracks from Smith’s fifth studio album, , which was released on 21 August 2026 through Capitol Records.
Accompanied by a live band, the English singer is the latest star to grace the Apple Music series, following the likes of Lola Young and James Blake.

Smith’s latest album shows them in a different light following the club-focused sound of their 2023 album .
has a much softer sound. Announcing the release of the album on social media, Smith said: “I don’t think I’ve ever been as proud of myself or an album.”
“Sometimes to grow we have to listen to ourselves and only ourselves. I feel more in tune with my artistry and self than ever before with the release of this record,” they added.

Above all, explores the theme of love – “True love”, Smith said. “I am so overjoyed to capture my emotions in a bottle like this. This album will always mark one of the most magical, confronting, happiest and challenging times of my life as a person and an artist.”
Accompanying the release of ‘Constant Companion’, Smith released a music video inspired by Western films, featuring homoerotic elements.
