Roxanne de Bastion has confirmed plans for new album ‘Here Lies Human’.

The songwriter played a one-off London show last month, previewing new material in the process. New album ‘Here Lies Human’ stems from this, a record that owes a debt to a transformative creative spell in New York.

Sessions alongside prominent Bowie collaborator Tony Visconti unlocked something inside her, with Roxanne explaining:

“It was a moment when everything came together for me in the most beautiful way. The energy of the city provided the perfect backdrop. Recording in the middle of Brooklyn’s industrial wasteland fitted the apocalyptic theme and I had the best time completing the tracks at Human Studios, where Bowie recorded ‘Blackstar’, and sharing so many stories between takes.”

Following this, a further eight songs were recorded in London alongside double Grammy Award-nominated producer, . ‘Here Lies Human’ will be released on February 12th.

Bring, theatrical new single ‘Apocalypse Queen’ is out now – constructed alongside Tony Visconti, it’s a song that’s “about embracing your strength, realising your power and unleashing our potential…possibly just in time for the end of days.”
