has confirmed plans for The Last Encore – his “farewell” live shows.

A true one-off, Rod Stewart rose to fame with The Jeff Beck Group and The Faces, blending a passion for soul and R&B with his jack-the-lad persona. Reinventing himself as a chart star during the disco era, his latter work absorbs an abiding interest in The Great American Songbook.

Next year Rod Stewart promises something special – The Last Encore finds this unique cultural icon bringing down the curtain on his live career.

Playing arena venues across the UK and Europe, the shows offer a chance to “say farewell to life on the road”.

Opening in Dublin on April 23rd, the singer then hits Belfast, his beloved Glasgow, Birmingham, and Manchester. Rod Stewart will play The O2 Arena in London on May 11th. Support on all shows comes from synth-pop pioneer Howard Jones. 

Rod Stewart says: “My dear friends, The time has come to say farewell to life on the road. After more than six decades, The Final Encore will most definitely be my last. I’ve been singing the music I love since I was 19 years old, and I’ve had the privilege of taking it around the world to all of you. It has given me a life beyond anything I could ever have imagined, and I hope I’ve given you some fond memories in return. So, may I take this opportunity to thank you for making this extraordinary life possible. I hope you’ll join me so I can thank you the best way I know how… with the music and one hell of a show. See you there.”

Tickets will be available starting with the Fanclub presale beginning Tuesday, 29 September, followed by local presales across the markets, with any remaining tickets made available during the general public on-sale starting Friday, 2 October.
