star Alan Ritchson has claimed that a white supremacist storyline for the show was scrapped after Donald Trump was re-elected.

The Amazon Prime Video series is based on Lee Child’s novels, and features Ritchson as the central character.

In a recent social media interaction with a fan, Ritchson said that they had attempted to adapt , the 1998 book in the series, “where he kills his way through a white supremacist militia camp”.

Writing on Threads, the actor alluded to Trump’s 2024 presidential victory as he said: “My favourite book. Fun fact: I had it approved until someone got re-elected.”

Last year, the actor – who is a Christian – opened up about the criticism that puzzles him, telling : “People have this weird relationship with fictional characters, and sort of equate that to the real human being.

“I don’t have that problem, making that distinction. I get criticized a lot by Christians who are like, ‘How dare you have an unmarried sex scene on TV and then talk about Jesus?’ I’m sorry—I doubt that’s going to be part of the conversation when I’m standing at the pearly gates!”

recently aired its fourth season, which is based on Child’s 2009 novel , while the show recently debuted spin-off show , focused on Maria Sten’s character Frances Neagley.

In other news, Nicki Minaj has defended her support of Trump after becoming an advocate for the US Republican Party over the past year.

“I am honoured to be able to have an opportunity to work with this administration and to work with President Trump,” she said on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle. “He has inspired many people, not just me. And he’s – he’s fun.”

“He’s not just smart, and, you know, he’s not just the president,” she continued. “But he’s also someone that I can relate to, someone that, you know, every time I see him, or every time I see him speaking to other people, he’s just himself. When host Ingraham asked the rapper if she had anything to “say to the critics of you for working with the sitting US President”, Minaj responded: “Absolutely nothing. I don’t know why I should.”
