RAYE Decries Ticket Touts Who “Overwhelmed” Royal Albert Hall Sale

has criticised ticket touts who “overwhelmed” her Royal Albert Hall sale.

The record-breaking UK singer has confirmed plans for a one-off symphonic show at the London venue, bringing her second album ‘This Music May Contain Hope’ to life.

Fresh from a huge run at The O2 Arena in London, this is – by RAYE’s standards – an intimate show.

The ticket sale didn’t go as planned, however, with organised touts utilising AI to overwhelm the system.

RAYE said she had “never witnessed bots on this scale”, with over one million attempts at gaining a ticket. In an attempt to make it fair, a team will now manually remove suspected AI bots.

“I’m not sure what the future holds for ticketing, I do know this experience has really opened my eyes,” she said in a statement shared on her social media accounts, external.

“Me and my team are going to think really hard about what we can do in the future.”

Lucky fans will receive a pre-sale link and code by email at 11:45 BST on Tuesday, and pre-sale opened shortly afterwards. All remaining tickets will go on general sale.
