“Hares on the Mountains” follows previous singles “The Moon and Stars” and “Still I Love Him”. The track — which Peat discovered through Shirley Collins — considers the imbalance of gender dynamics in courtship.

The track follows the announcement of Peat’s performance at the Barbican in March 2027, and comes along details of a newly added show at Rough Trade East on 2 December 2026.
