RÓIS — the moniker of Rose Connolly — grew up with traditional Irish folk music, with her own tastes expanding to include techno and jazz, building the musical world that would appear on her second album . It draws from traditional sean-nós tunes, the Irish language and the toll of the Angelus, also exploring the Irish pagan tradition of caoineadh, or keening, a part of the mourning process during which veiled women gather around the body of a deceased loved one to sing and howl.

The remaster of the album will include new track “PORT NA H-EALA” available only on digital formats. Alongside the announcement, RÓIS has also shared a live performance of her song "WHAT DO YOU SAY", showcasing her immersive live show.

“I wanted to do something more conceptual," RÓIS explains. "I wanted to set the gig at a funeral. There were accounts that, in Pagan times, the Wake would have been a debaucherous affair. I wanted to bring that to my music and the show because I think we need to unsterilise how we see death and how you have to be mannered.”

RÓIS has two special shows lined up to support the release, one at London's ICA on 17 November before her first ever US live date in New York.
