The first wave of games coming to PlayStation Plus this October have been revealed – check out the full list below:

PlayStation Plus is a subscription-based service that gives members access to certain online features and a constantly evolving library of games across three different membership tiers.

Last month it was confirmed that four new games would be added to the PlayStation Plus Essential tier – Sniper Elite Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, Chained Echoes – while Premium and Extra subscribers could play RuneScape: Dragonwilds, Ball x Pit, Sniper Elite: Resistance and more. 

Sony has now confirmed that all PS Plus members will be able to claim a trio of games for free from next week (October 6) – , and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 – and announced that subscribers have until October 5 to claim September’s Monthly Games.

The Extra and Premium games for this month will be announced on October 14.

After a controversial price hike that saw many users cancel their PlayStation Plus subscription, the Essential tier (which lets players access a select number of games) currently costs £7.99 a month. Extra is available for £11.99 a month and gives subscribers access to Game Catalogue, a library of “hundreds of games from genre-defining blockbusters to innovative indies”. Premium adds more classic titles and game trials to the offering for £14.99 a month.

Players threatened to cancel their PlayStation Plus memberships following the announcement that Sony will be scrapping physical releases from early 2028, but a new report claims the protest had “no measurable impact” on player engagement.
