A Touch Of Divine follows Prima Queen's 2025 debut album, The Prize. "Alanis Morissette" lands after September's lead single "Dirty Rascal" as the second preview of the collection of songs. On the track, the pair pay tribute to the singer, referencing her 1995 track "You Oughta Know", and honouring the experience of saying what you truly feel.
"The song 'Alanis Morissette' came from a conversation with a friend who said, 'It sounds like you're not sad - you're angry!'" Prima Queen explain. "Anger is a huge part of grieving heartbreak, but sometimes it's hard to let yourself feel those feelings and allow yourself to express it. This song is about acknowledging that anger, and about the way female friendship can give you a safe place to finally let it out."
A Touch Of Divine sees Prima Queen team up with producer Oli Deakin (CMAT) for a work that describes them as "more confident, more playful and more gutsy" than before, as they lean into their acoustic, country-tinged roots with a new sense of experimentation.
Coinciding with the album's release, the pair will also will head out on an in-store tour to coincide with the album's release in February and March, with further live dates to be revealed.
