The National Theatre's smash-hit production of Pride has been confirmed to be transferring to the Bridge Theatre later this year.
The new musical, based on the 2014 film of the same name, is currently showing at the Dorfman Theatre in the National Theatre and has achieved a sold-out run.
Pride follows the true story of the activist group Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners, a group of LGBTQ+ Londoners who banded together during the 1984 miner's strike to help raise funds for a group of miners in a small town in the Welsh countryside.
The creative team of this production features the writer and the director of the 2014 film, Stephen Beresford and Matthew Warchus, with an range of music spanning pop, disco, protest anthems and Welsh choral tradition from Christopher Nightingale, Josh Cohen and DJ Walde.
Thanks to its immense popularity, Pride the musical will be transferring to the Bridge Theatre in November 2026.
Established in 2017, the Bridge Theatre quickly cemented itself as one of London's premiere off-West End venues, with notable productions including last year's Into the Woods, The Lady from the Sea starring Alicia Vikander, and the immersive Guys and Dolls.
Tickets to see Pride at the Bridge Theatre will go on sale from Wednesday 2 September at the official production website.
Speaking about the transfer, writer Stephen Beresford said, "Starting the show at Cardiff’s Sherman Theatre earlier this year – to the most vociferous of welcomes – and then playing a joyful, sold-out run at London’s National Theatre – we have all been struck by what happens when a live audience encounters this true story of community, solidarity and courage.

This sentiment was echoed by National Theatre Director Indhu Rubasingham, who added, "Audiences have been having the most tremendous night out embracing this powerful, heartfelt and joyous new musical – it has been a sold-out box office hit and we are thrilled more people will get the opportunity to enjoy this very special show."
