Manchester City are top of the pile, having won five from five under new boss Enzo Maresca and opened up an early advantage over title rivals Arsenal.

Brighton, who stunned the Gunners on the weekend, Brentford and Leeds United make up the top five after the opening month of the new campaign.

Big-spending Tottenham are bottom of the table and joined in the relegation zone by Fulham, who have endured a faltering start under new boss Alvaro Arbeloa, and newly-promoted Coventry City.
