Polyglot Band HYUKOH Share New Single ‘losing day’

, the polyglot band formed in South Korea, today share their meandering new single ‘losing day’,

HYUKOH was formed out of Seoul in 2014 by four musicians, , , and . Unrooted by nature, they became a band whose own DNA was stylistically voracious enough that they could lift from folk, funk, psych and pop within a single record, sometimes a single song.

‘losing day’ is the third single the band have released this year, following ‘KoK’ and ‘Godspeed!’. It captures their affinity with whimsical experimentation, a Bossa nova meets a cosmic funk number tapping into the humdrum nature of modern life – the angst, the failure, the self-loathing.

Throughout the shapeshifting, marathon number, OH, the band’s frontman, laments a version of himself he once tried so hard to like, performed as a nonchalant hum over a light, bright arrangement.

The release comes after 2024’s collaborative album with Sunset Rollercoaster, ‘AAA’. The record went on to win Best Vocal Album Recording, Best Music Video and Best Album Design at the 2025 Golden Melody Awards.
