PISS share new single inspired by interview with West German militant feminist group

The song's full title is "Rote Zora. ‘Resistance is Possible.’ Emma, no. 6, June 1984, pp. 39-41", and follows previous singles "blocking a scene you can’t remember" and "time loop at hot slit". The lyrics are borrowed from an interview transcript first published in the German feminist magazine in 1984. A full English translation is available at theanarchistlibrary.org. The music video was directed by Eila Vallevand and smashes together found footage and animations.

Led by vocalist Taylor Zantingh, the Vancouver art-punk quartet recorded their debut album in January 2025 with Colin Stewart at Hive Creative Labs. Pre-orders are available from Sub Pop and Bandcamp. The band's recently announced London show at Moth Club is sold out. A new London date at The Scala has been added for 24 February. PISS will also play Primavera Sound in Barcelona on 4 June. The band are supporting Gilla Band on US and Canada dates through October and into November.
