The seventeen-track album was recorded in the autumn of 2025 at the Power Station recording studio in New York City, following the initial leg of Panda Bear's tour in the UK and Europe.
On , Lennox and his co-producer, Animal Collective bandmate Josh "Deakin" Dibb, built the sound of the album around traditional elements of a rock-and-roll ensemble. To replicate the instrumental layers live, Lennox assembled a Panda Bear touring band for the first time, with himself on lead vocals and guitar, Tim Koh on bass, Rivka Ravede on sampler, Maria Reis on keyboards and percussion, Tomé Silva on drums, and all four on backing vocals.
A live version of "Take Pills", which originally appeared on Panda Bear's 2007 album lands as the first preview of the upcoming collection of songs.
The album features live renditions of tracks from , including "Ferry Lady," "Ends Meet," "Praise," and "Just As Well", as well as other selections from Panda Bear's catalogue. The songs are described as a testament to the "new vitality and human intimacy" brought by the live band, expanding on the melodies that Panda Bear has honed over the years.
