otta’s ‘BLIP’ Locates Strength In Vulnerability

has shared her new song ‘BLIP’.

Out now, it’s a typically precocious, pan-genre offering, with otta’s amorphous creativity continuing to confound expectation.

The British-Finnish artist will share her new album ‘ASTRA’ on November 20th, a work of real creativity.

‘BLIP’ is emblematic of her methods – born from an attempt to teach her band something new, it became a slippery, ever-evolving communal workout.

Vocally, the slightly askew pop aspects speak of internal strengths. She comments:

“I think this song has a vulnerability to it but also it feels strong. This song has always existed more in a live setting, it’s nice the album version is just a version that happened naturally.”

Ciara Reddy directed the rising video, with otta commenting: “I like working with Ciara on videos because we approach our processes in a similar way, some things get planned but we both like to just let things emerge.”

Tune in now.
