Nintendo has shared the first taste of the newly-announced 40th anniversary concert tour with a live performance of the ‘Triforce Medley’.

Yesterday (September 8) Nintendo hosted a 30-minute Direct that focused on how the company will be celebrating 40 years of , with the original game launching back in 1986.

As well as a deep-dive on the upcoming remake and details about a new collaboration with Lego, Nintendo confirmed a new orchestral concert would be touring throughout 2027.

To give fans a taste of what to expect, a five-minute medley of iconic music was performed by an orchestra alongside visuals that focused on the evolution of the main characters from the games (Zelda, Link and Ganon) and the story of wisdom, power and courage that titles explore. “Enjoy this orchestral arrangement, specifically made for 40th anniversary. It’s themed around wisdom, power, and courage—the virtues of the Triforce—and includes a medley of various songs,” Nintendo wrote in the video’s description.

“The music in the first game was made using just three audio channels. In more recent games, you can enjoy more bombastic music as well as more subtle orchestral movements,” composer Koji Kondo explained during the Direct before saying Nintendo wanted “more people to enjoy the music live.”

40th anniversary concert tour will begin with a series of Japanese dates in January 2027 before visiting North America, Europe and Australia. Local orchestras will perform at each show and “additional cities and countries will be announced in the future.” You can check out all the details here.
