Channel 4 has unveiled the first trailer for its upcoming legal drama Pierre, which stars Homeland and Supergirl favourite David Harewood.
The series, which comes from writers Roy Williams (Soon Gone: The Windrush Chronicles) and John Donnelly (Utopia), stars Harewood as a London duty solicitor who sets out to investigate systemic police corruption following the suspicious death of his young Black client, Michael.
"As Pierre challenges the police's portrayal of Michael as a criminal, he unravels a chilling web of institutional corruption," the official synopsis teases. "When you come at the system, the system comes at you..."
The new trailer gives fans a first look at the character's mission as he sets out to get to the bottom of the truth. “I am going to find out who did this," he says in the footage.

Pierre also stars Michele Austin (This Is Going to Hurt) as Charlotte Manners, Pierre’s joint managing partner of their solicitor’s firm, as well as Jason Flemyng (Boiling Point) as Pierre’s best friend, DS Ronnie Miller.
Other cast members include Dean-Charles Chapman (1917), Nikkita Chadha (Hijack), Christopher Fairbank (Andor), Sara Powell (Last Christmas) and Cherrelle Skeete (Hanna).
