has shared her new EP ‘almost there’ in full.

The songwriter digs deep on the EP, which represents her biggest body of work yet. A substantial piece of alt-soul autobiography, it was recorded in London, with Naya working in the studio alongside .

Focus single ‘spiders’ speaks to the maturity and assurance of Naya’s lyricism, but the full project is imbued with palpable feeling.

Resonating with soulful, alt-R&B tones, the crisp production seems to bring out the best in Naya as a vocalist, with the crisp, almost glassy tones finding a space between Sade and Jessie Ware, for example.

“’Almost There’ is about being stuck in patterns and deciding to break out of them,” Naya shares. “It’s that feeling of almost doing something and then finding yourself back at square one, like Groundhog Day, asking, ‘How did I get here again?’ The EP follows a cycle of awareness, denial, breaking old habits and trying to start again. I think your twenties are often about figuring yourself out in real time, and I wanted people to know that it’s okay to feel lost. Everybody feels lost sometimes.”
